Crosspoint has just provided 10 Grass Valley LDX Elite cameras to Elenco for servicing the productions of its most demanding customers.
Elenco, leading company in the field of audiovisual production, with over 17 years experience, it has decided to acquire the new Grass Valley LDX Elite due to its image quality, range of features, scalability and future proof possibilities to renew its broadcast cameras. With them, they aim to equip their HD OB van and offer it in all high-level sports events they often produce such as Champions League or Europa League matches, Asobal, ACB, Olympics… and all types of corporate events, TV programs recording, advertising…
After thorough testing sessions to analyse the major brands of the market, by technicians and operators, Elenco decided on the model of Grass Valley, aware of the latest offered technology, based on the new Xensium CMOS sensor with greater sensitivity, and its enormous versatility.

The CCU or, better said, XCU (Exchangeable Control Unit), because it is an interchangeable control unit, is based on a system of base station (cradle) pending patent can be pre-assembled and pre-wired in the rack, ensuring a reliable mechanical and electrical connection and allowing quick and easy engagement / disengagement of the base station XCU.
Each XCU Each comes with its own cradle, but acquiring additional units allows extending its use to different locations and XCUs quickly and easily transferred between trucks, studios or any other facility. The base station can retrieve the last camera settings used just in a few seconds.

In addition to the 10 complete camera chains (Triax version) Crosspoint has provided to Elenco 10 LCD viewers of 2.7 “and 7” respectively, 16 OCP-400 control panels, 1 universal control panel, 8 additional cradles and diverse additional auxiliary material (bags and protectors).
