The CCU or, better said, XCU (Exchangeable Control Unit), because it is an interchangeable control unit, is based on a system of base station (cradle) pending patent can be pre-assembled and pre-wired in the rack, ensuring a reliable mechanical and electrical connection and allowing quick and easy engagement / disengagement of the base station XCU.

Each XCU Each comes with its own cradle, but acquiring additional units allows extending its use to different locations and XCUs quickly and easily transferred between trucks, studios or any other facility. The base station can retrieve the last camera settings used just in a few seconds.

In addition, this platform (cradle) is compatible with both the new LDX 80 as the top 86 LDX series 4K / Ultra Super Slow Motion.

Another point that Elenco considered essential when deciding on Grass Valley cameras has been the policy of the new US brand to strengthen their after-sales service. In words of Javier Martin, "after the acquisition of Grass Valley by Belden, a clear stake in the company is perceived to improve service support to its customers. Policy which is, particularly in Spain, especially noted by entrusting distribution to a company like Crosspoint, known in the market by the after-sales service quality offered to its customers."
